all about orange juice.

If you’ve got questions, we’ve got answers. See below for our FAQs, bursting with OJ info.

Why has Florida’s Natural started adding Mexican Valencia orange juice to its Florida not-from-concentrate orange juice?

Unfortunately, the Florida orange crop has been declining for decades while our fans continue to buy more and more Florida’s Natural orange juice.  The Florida orange crop can no longer meet our consumer demand, so we are adding in only the best Mexican Valencia orange juice.  This allows us to continue supplying enough orange juice for consumers’ increasing thirst while maintaining the superior taste they love from Florida’s Natural.

Why is Florida’s Natural now a “from concentrate” orange juice?

Florida’s Natural orange juice still contains our delicious, Florida premium Not From Concentrate orange juice.  Because of the declining Florida crop, though, the farmers of Florida’s Natural had to seek additional orange juice sources to meet consumer demand.  After an exhaustive search, where no other Not From Concentrate orange juice met our high standards for superior taste, we found the very best Mexican Valencia orange juice concentrate, that really delivers on taste.  As always, we are committed to bringing you only the best-tasting orange juice around.  Give it a try, we’re sure you’ll love it!

What is the date on the carton, “use by” or “sell by”? Can I use it past this date?

The date stamped on our Florida’s Natural products is the recommended “Use By Date.” We do not recommend using our products past this date. We suggest using them within 7–10 days after opening, before the expiration date.

How many milligrams of calcium are in each serving of Florida’s Natural Orange Juice with Added Calcium & Vitamin D and Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice?

There are 350 milligrams of calcium per 8-oz. serving.

Can I freeze the juice?

Although we do not have any testing data regarding the effects of freezing on our products, many customers freeze the juice without any ill effects. We do recommend draining some juice from the carton to allow room for the juice to expand when frozen.

What does pasteurization mean? Is it radiation?

Pasteurization is the process by which the juice is heated to a very high temperature for a short amount of time in order to kill microbacteria. There is no radiation used in this process.

Is the sugar natural or do you add it later?

The sugar listed on the nutritional panel is the sugar that is found naturally in the fruit. Our products are 100% pure, without any added sugars or preservatives.

Are the cartons recyclable?

The cartons used for our products are recyclable. They contain a polyethylene lining to prevent them from leaking. All materials used are recyclable; however, facilities for handling the recycling may not exist in some areas.
